Why So Mad?

Show Notes for Green Assistant Radio Episode 10 (aired on 02/14/2022 on AshevilleFM)

We apologized, again.

Yes, it is necessary, ESPECIALLY during Black History Month,

for white people to acknowledge our personal failures.

This is the only way that we, as a society, can start to make it right.

I am sorry for centering myself.

Happy Black History Month.

The Green Assistant Challenge of the Week:

Go through your closets and drawers. Pull aside any winter clothing that you have even considered getting rid of, for any reason, any time. (Please do this NOW instead of at the end of the season.) Don't fit right? Stained? Bad vibes and memories attached to that coat? Yeah, all of those too!

- Set these clothes to the side, right in your eyeline, and consider them throughout this week. Talk to these clothes. Touch them and look at them every day. Share energy.

- Considering keeping an item you pulled? Super. Put it on and wear it around for 20+ minutes. After that, you'll know if it is still the garment for you.

- Next week, on Green Assistant Radio, we will explore the next step for the clothes that remain in the give away pile.

Next Week's Show: Compost and Compostable Packaging and Utensils.

Are they actually better than conventional plastic materials?

Do they really break down into compost and soil?

Is it worth the added cost?

We will get into that and more, right here on Green Assistant Radio, where we get real about going green, on Monday February 21st @ 11am at your community radio station, AshevilleFM.
